A very nice State Park. They have two different camping areas. Big Island is more wooded and private and White Fox is newer with very nice bathroom and showers. The park staff is very friendly and helpful. We did the Geocaching and that was fun for us. Nice bike trails. We will be back.
We camped here back in the back by the playground and it is right off of I-35 and is very noisy day and night. It is a nice campground but the sites are very small and crowded. The parking is very limited and makes the roads in the park small when people are parked on the side. Nice pool and rec hall. We will probably be back just try and get something further from the road.
Nice campground with all cement sites. Sites are very close together. The park is very clean and well maintained, with water, sewer and electricity hookups. It was very quiet with one exception about 10:00 at night, the cars next door at the casino were tearing around in and out of the parking lot. It lasted about 1/2 hour. I don't think this is a nightly thing but I don't know. Overall very nice.
We came in on a Monday and it was very quiet. It was nice to see nice grassy sites. The sites were very small and close together. No one was around us so it was not an issue. I had asked for a 30 amp site with full hookups and we were put on a 20 amp site with NO sewer. We only stayed for one night so that was not an issue either but would have been nice to get what I had asked for when I placed the reservation. It did appear to be in nice shape and well taken care of. All of there dumpsters were extremely full and needed to be emptied. I do not believe we will be back as there is many more options in that area that we could explore in the future.
A nice campground that is very family friendly. They had many different activities for the kids throughout the day, we did appreciate that. As far as full hookups we only saw 13 sites that were full hookups that were not for the seasonal guests. It is very busy on the weekends and require a 3 day stay on the weekends. We will be back.
Nice campground with a nice looking pool and playground area, but we did not use either. The site that we were in had the sewer hookup way up toward the front of the site so I was unable to hookup my sewer. I was only here for one night so that was not an issue. I would stay here again when passing through the area as there is much to do around the campground. It was a nice quiet area for the campground not to far off the Interstates 80 and 35.
We stopped here while passing through. It was good for stopping at on the way through but would not want to stay a very long time as the traffic is very noisy early in the morning. I would recommend staying over by the park and not by Parvin Road. There are no bonfires allow at this campground. It has a nice shallow swimming pool about 4'6" at the deepest and a hot tub. It is very clean and a little hard to find your way into the village area. I would stay here again if going through the area just a different site.
Very nice county park. Most sites are very large and shaded. They are not paved sites. Each site has its own fire pit. We have been here several times, and it is one of the cleanest campgrounds that we have been to. They do not have water hookups so have your water before you get here. The bathrooms are non flush toilets with no running water in them, but there is water spigots throughout the campground. They have a few double sites; if you are going with family or friends, you can put two campers in each of them. The playground is in good shape and has a central location in the park.
